Drawing upon the Parent Toolkit Collection and extensive experience leading behaviour, SEND and SEMH provision, our training packages provide engaging, evidence-informed professional development that equips staff with realistic, practical strategies they can implement immediately.

Why Sladen Advisory?
All training is personally designed and delivered by Melissa Sladen, an experienced teacher, senior leader and behaviour specialist with extensive expertise supporting children and young people with SEND, SEMH and complex behavioural needs.
Having worked within schools for many years, Melissa understands the realities of modern education. She knows the pressures schools face, the competing demands on staff, and the challenge of delivering meaningful support within increasingly limited budgets. That's why every training programme has been designed with one question in mind:
"Will this make a genuine difference to classroom practice?"
This isn't training built around theory alone.
Every session combines evidence-informed practice with practical, realistic strategies that teaching staff can implement immediately. Staff leave not only with a deeper understanding of behaviour, but with the confidence, language and tools to respond differently from the very next day.
Melissa's experience working directly with children and young people displaying significant behavioural, emotional and additional needs means the training is grounded in real-life practice rather than hypothetical scenarios. The examples, discussions and strategies are relatable, relevant and rooted in the everyday challenges faced by schools.
Rather than delivering CPD that simply ticks a box, Sladen Advisory provides professional development that builds confidence, strengthens practice and creates lasting impact for staff, pupils and the wider school community, ensuring staff leave with greater confidence as well as clear actions to take back into school.
