Personalised Support,
Real Impact.

At Sladen Academic & Pastoral Advisory, we recognise that every child is unique and that seeking support can sometimes feel overwhelming. Families often come to us looking for clarity, reassurance, and practical guidance during challenging periods in their child's educational or emotional journey.

Our goal is to help children flourish, empower parents with confidence, and create positive, sustainable outcomes that extend beyond the classroom.

Wherever you are in your journey, we are here to support you every step of the way.

Our Story

Welcome

After many years in senior leadership within specialist education, our founder, Melissa Sladen, recognised a consistent gap: families were often left navigating complex systems without the clarity, structure, or guidance needed to make informed decisions for their child.

Sladen Academic & Pastoral Advisory was created to bridge this gap, offering clear, strategic and expert-led support for families at times when it is needed most.

Working alongside an accredited counsellor, we provide a fully integrated approach where emotional wellbeing and educational support are considered together.

Our Philosophy

At Sladen Academic & Pastoral Advisory, we believe that academic achievement and emotional wellbeing are equally important. Through an integrated approach to SEND, wellbeing, and strategic oversight, we provide personalised, structured, and discreet support so every child can thrive.

We lead with honesty and integrity, practising compassionate honesty — saying what needs to be said with care and clarity. Working in close partnership with parents as a child’s key support system, we face challenges together and help young people overcome obstacles with confidence and resilience.

We work with families to:

  • Provide whole-child development, integrating academic, pastoral, and social-emotional growth

  • Offer strategic guidance tailored to your child’s strengths, challenges, and aspirations

  • Ensure children receive the support and education they are entitled to

  • Foster resilience, confidence, and balanced development

Every recommendation and intervention is personalised, structured, and discreet, reflecting our bespoke approach.
